AS Saint-Etienne : Monaco has the youngest squad in Europe, ASSE and OM in the Top 10 | ASSE News

The Football Observatory has published its ranking of the youngest squads on the European continent, among the major leagues, since the start of the 2021-2022 season.

The first place goes to AS Monaco. The Principality club have fielded a team with an average age of 24.31 years. The team trained by Niko Kovac is ahead of Bayer Leverkusen (24.64 years) and AS Saint-Etienne (24.74 years) in a Top 10 marked by the presence of six Ligue 1 clubs, with results diametrically opposed. While Olympique de Marseille and Nice got off to a very good start, AS Saint-Etienne and Stade Brestois cannot say the same and occupy the bottom two places in the standings.

In France, the promoted Clermont has the oldest squad since the start of this year (27.96 years), ahead of Angers (27.65 years) and Paris Saint-Germain (27.61 years).
