Great fear, Saturday morning, Place Chavanelle in Saint-Etienne: passers-by alerted the police as a man was walking around with a rifle slung over his shoulder.
The 46-year-old was promptly arrested. He had just bought this shotgun from a junk dealer. The latter, domiciled in Saint-Genest-Malifaux, was also taken into police custody because he did not have an authorization to sell weapons. Only gunsmiths can sell weapons to license holders.
