The Greens end the 2020/2021 season by losing to the championship’s red lantern, Dijon, 1 to 0. AS Saint-Etienne is thus deprived of the first part of the table and ends the championship in 11th place.
After having fought for a long time to ensure the maintenance in the elite, the Greens will however not have managed to hang on the top 10. Symbol of the progress of the Stéphanois group, the Greens are eighth of the second part of the championship while they had finished the first part of the season in 16th place.
Finally, after bringing back a point from Lille last week, the Greens’ performance in the North did not prevent Christophe Galtier’s LOSC from winning the title of French Champion.
