At the end of the contract in June, Loc Perrin (34, 21 games in L1 this season) was thinking of stopping his career at the end of this 2019-2020 fiscal year. But the end of the season after only 28 days in Ligue 1, due to the coronavirus pandemic, could make the central defender of AS Saint-Etienne think.
“It was clear in his head. We had already been discussing the methods of discovering the different aspects of the club on its financial and marketing aspects for several weeks,” said ASSE general manager Xavier Thuilot, in the columns of Progress, before evoking the doubts of its captain. “Loc told me the other day that he had just realized that his career could end in nothing, on a filing chart drawn in an office.”
Perrin could therefore extend his lease for an additional year to bid farewell to Geoffroy-Guichard on the ground in 2021.
