ASSE: Bernard Caïazzo richer than Roland Romeyer?

Roland Romeyer is the chairman of the executive board of ASSE and Bernard Caïazzo the chairman of the supervisory board. Main shareholders, the two businessmen cumulate 88% of the shares of the Loire club, via Croissance Foot and Cesse Foot respectively. It was in 2004 that they set up a co-presidency. And two-headed governance is going more or less well atAS Saint-Etienne.

According to the revelations of the sports daily relayed by Sportune, Roland Romeyer (74) is less fortunate than Bernard Caïazzo (66). The media does not give precise figures, but it indicates however that the fortune of the latter is estimated at tens of millions of euros.

Roland Romeyer is an entrepreneur. He has managed fifteen SMEs in the Saint-Etienne region, including the interior design company (Sacma), which was a long time sponsor of ASSE, according to the source.

Bernard Caïazzo was the boss of Phone Marketing, a company he created, before selling it. He also contributed to the development of the Call Center Alliance group, created in 1994 and sold to Lazard bank.

Failed to sell ASSE to Peak6 in May 2018

Recall that the two presidents had tried to sell the ASSE to the American group Peak6 in May 2018. But negotiations had failed, for lack of sufficient guarantee from the buyer, to believe Caiazzo.
