The spirit of Quentin Tarantino was invited Sunday evening in the stands of Groupama Stadium. On the occasion of the long-awaited derby between OL and Saint-Etienne, at the end of the 27th day of Ligue 1, supporters of Les Gones deployed a tifo in the likeness of Beatrix Kiddo, the character played by Uma Thurman in the “Kill Bill” saga.
With a clear message: “Kill Green”. “Ugly little rabbit, who wanted to be clever,” was also written on a banner brandished at the bottom of the north gallery. A cult line that can be heard in “Kill Bill: volume 1”.
No Stéphanois supporters
On the other side of the stadium, in the south gallery, it is a tribute to the Lyon heritage which was rendered via a tifo and a banner: “From Gerland to Fourvière will shine the City of Light.” The Stéphanois supporters were unable to make the trip to Lyon.
At the end of February, the Rhône Prefecture issued a decree prohibiting access to the perimeter of the Groupama Stadium, but also to the whole of downtown Lyon, for lovers of the Greens. During the first leg in October, OL supporters could not go to Geoffroy-Guichard either. The Greens then won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Robert Beric.
