L’ ASSE returns to Ligue 1 against Montpellier HSC on Saturday, but without its great striker Enzo Crivelli, but with two new recruits.
ASSE: Crivelli absent, big first for Mangala and Sacko
Two of ASSE’s latest summer recruits are called up by Pascal Dupraz for the match against Montpellier HSC, this Saturday (5 p.m.), at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard. They are Eliaquim Mangala and Falaye Sacko. The central defender and right-back are in the group of 20 Stéphanois during the 23rd day of Ligue 1.
On the other hand, the great striker recruited at the very end of the winter Mercato, Enzo Crivelli, is not yet operational and is obviously absent from the list of the coach of AS Saint-Étienne. Recruited on January 31, the 27-year-old center forward “is too fair to” face the MHSC. “We don’t want to take any risks”, justified Pascal Dupraz during the pre-match press conference.
The other absentees from ASSE are: Yvan Neyou and Harold Moukoudi who are still at the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2021) in Cameroon, Gabriel Silva and Bakary Sako (injured), Mahdi Camara (suspended) and Miguel Trauco returned late selection (Peru).
For the probable composition, The Team understands that the recruits: Eliaquim Mangala and Falaye Sacko should make their debut in the jersey of the Greens in defense. The Saint-Etienne attack will be led by the trio Ryad Boudebouz, Denis Bouanga and Wahbi Khazri, according to the sports daily. Among Sainté’s 7 winter recruits, Paul Bernardoni will obviously be a starter, as will Sada Thioub. Note that Pascal Dupraz has called up two goalkeepers: Étienne Green and of course Bernardoni, following the loan of Stefán Bajic to Pau FC in Ligue 2.
The probable composition of ASSE against Montpellier HSC:
Goalkeepers: E. Green, Bernardoni
Defenders: M. Nadé, S. Sow, Kolodziejczak, F. Sacko, Mangala, Mason, A. Bakayoko
Midfielders: Lucas Gourna, Boudebouz, Aouchiche, Diousse, Z. Youssouf, Moueffek
Attackers: Khazri, Nordin, Bouanga, Hamouma, Thiou
