The derby between Lyon and Saint-Etienne will be played this evening in front of an audience reduced to 5,000 people at the Groupama stadium, a consequence of the maintenance of the gauges in Ligue 1 football due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
This match, never like the others, will not be surrounded by the usual fervor, since in addition to the sanitary measures, the RhĂ´ne prefecture has announced that it is prohibiting Saint-Etienne supporters from going to the stadium, but also in the city center of Lyon.
“In order to prevent possible incidents and disturbances to public order, a series of measures have been taken for anyone claiming to be an ASSE supporter or behaving as such”, defends the prefecture.
