AS Saint-Etienne : Angers-ASSE well postponed despite the new health protocol | ASSE News

Despite the new health proposal, the Ligue 1 meeting between Angers and Saint-Etienne is indeed postponed, the decision being recorded on the basis of the old protocol.

Despite the application of the new health protocol which imposes tests on everyone 48 hours before the matches, the Angers-St Etienne match, postponed Friday December 31 by the League, will be rescheduled later. As the postponement was recorded on the basis of the old protocol, it is not possible to modify this decision on the basis of a protocol subsequent to the request. At the time of the announcement of the postponement, the Anjou club had no less than 19 positive cases.

A scattered recovery

The cluster has seriously disrupted the recovery of the SCO since December 30. Alan Berrou, the Angevin physical trainer, explained to Ouest-France that the recovery had taken place gradually, with a group separated into two. Doumbia, Capelle, Brahimi, Taibi and the young Borne, Meddah, Magri and Corduan form the first, of eight elements, spared by the virus. The second got the post-Covid medical green light to resume: Montpellier’s five packages (Cabot, Cho, Mangani, Petkovic, Mendy), as well as Bamba and Manceau.

The others should follow over the week, after medical validation. “We recover players at different times, so not at the same level of recovery”, specifies Alan Berrou. The Angevins have not played since the defeat in Montpellier (4-1) on December 22.
