AS Saint-Etienne : the workforce of the Greens is at a full discount! | ASSE News

Zapping Goal! Football club ASSE: Adao Carvalho, third shareholder of the Greens, breaks the silence

Out of 42 pro contracts, only a dozen players have real market value

Exit William Saliba, transferred for € 29 million to Arsenal in 2019, and Wesley Fofana, sold for € 35 million (+ € 5 million from binus) to Leicester in 2020. The Saint-Etienne workforce, today, no longer has a player. can also bring big to the club. At present, its most favored players remain elements from the training center such as Lucas Gourna-Douath, captain of the France U18 team and followed from an early age by major foreign clubs, and Etienne Green, became an international English UFO and tracked by several British clubs. No other player seems likely to bring in more than € 10m today, although Denis Bouanga, Mahdi Camara, Yvan Neyou, Harold Moukoudi and Zaydou Youssouf can be valued between € 5 and € 10m. Saidou Sow, Yvann Maçon, Adil Aouchiche and Aimen Moueffek, even Charles Abi, represent the other assets of the club, even if one can hardly imagine offers higher than 5 M € for these players today. Just like for the neo-pro El Hadji Dieye.

Among the 16 players at the end of the contract, only Khazri, Trauco, Nordin and Bajic still have a small market value

The particularity of ASSE this season is that it has no less than 16 players at the end of their contract. They will therefore be free to sign up for free with the club of their choice from the month of January, in other words in two months. However, it is not excluded that a club wishing to secure the services of the players in question from this winter offers a transfer. But we only see four players who can bring in a minimum of money (up to € 1 million): internationals Wahbi Khazri and Miguel Trauco, Arnaud Nordin, international Espoirs, and Stefan Bajic, international U20. The other players at the end of the contract no longer represent any market value, namely: Ryad Boudebouz, Timothée Kolodziejczak, Romain Hamouma, Assane Diousse, Bilal Benkhedim, Lamine Ghezali, Alpha Sissoko, Abdoulaye Sidibé, Victor Petit, Lucas Llort and the neo- pros Louka Aymar and Stevens Leleux. At the end of the contract in 2023, Gabriel Silva no longer has any market value either, and this is also the case for many young people.

Many young people have no market value to this day

The ASSE has indeed many young elements with derisory market value, if not zero. How can you imagine a club offering a transfer fee greater than € 1 million for elements like Mickaël Nadé or Jean-Philippe Krasso? All under contract until 2023 minimum, many other young people fall into this category of players with no real market value to date, namely Boubacar Fall, Bryan Nokoué, Marvin Tshibuabua, Baptiste Gabard, Maxence Rivera, Ahmed Sidibé, Abdoulaye Bakayoko, Mathis Saban, Yanis Lhéry and Edmilson Correia. Young people who have played very little or not at all in L1, and who vegetate in reserve, in N3.

to summarize

With its catastrophic results, many players at the end of their contract and young people who do not progress, the workforce of ASSE, relieved in recent seasons of its most bankable players, has a market value in free fall …
