Man of the match: Nordin (8.5): WHAT A ENTRY! The French international hope made his appearance in the 66th place in place of Zaydou Youssouf and from his first touched ball, he transformed his team. Indeed, he hit the crossbar in the 73rd minute following a cross from Khazri. It was precisely this occasion that put the Stéphanois back in the mix and five minutes later, he took advantage of an error by Iglesias to find the net thanks to a clear shot in the small net. Then, he will deliver two assists in added time of the match and in particular that for the third goal of the Greens with a superbly well-hit corner. A sensational entry from the Stéphanois winger who in the space of a quarter of an hour will have been the man who offered the Green People the first victory of the season.

ASSE: 4-3-3

Green (4): He did not make the slightest save today, except for a center boxed in the first period. Indeed, despite a Clermont domination during the first half hour of the second period, the attempts were not framed except for the two goals, where the English goalkeeper can do nothing.

Camara (6): Undermined by Rashani’s speed (like the first Clermont goal), the Stéphanois captain did not give up and was still good in one against one defensive end.

Sow (7): Author of a rescue on his line in the first period, the defender of the Greens, who was solid defensively, is not excluded from any reproach on the opening of the opposing score since his marking on Bayo is too lax. Despite everything, the young Stéphanois took on the role of hero by scoring Sainté’s third goal in the 94th, synonymous with Victory!

Kolodziejczak (5): The experienced defender of the Greens had a very good first hour of play with ease in duels and especially in the air. Nevertheless, following the opening of the Clermont score, we felt less comfortable with the ball on the feet, as if panicked.

Silva (not rated): Back in the XI of Puel after many injuries, the Brazilian suffered in his lane and relapsed at the end of the first period. Replaced by Trauco (5). He too suffered in the defensive phases as he was already uncertain for the game.

Gourna (5.5): Clean in his raises, the Sainté player lost very few balls and was able to recover a large number. Replaced by Ramírez.

Youssouf (4): Despite a good start to the game where he distinguished himself offensively with an off-target attempt, the former Bordeaux player then gradually disappeared from the game, especially in the second half. Replaced by Nordin.

Moueffek (5): Present offensively at the start of the game, with his strike from twenty-five meters which passes just above the opposing goal. Replaced by Bouanga (5.5). Its entry into play brought more speed in the attack phases of Saint-Etienne.

Boudebouz (6.5): He was the conductor of his team in the first period thanks to his clean transmissions and his always tasty dribbling. Subsequently, he continued to put movement in the offensive game of the Greens.

Hamouma (5): He often tried combinations with Boudebouz in the first period. And even if the latter were interesting, the number 21 of the Greens never managed to be at the conclusion of a Saint-Etienne opportunity. Replaced by Krasso.

Khazri (5): Sainté’s best player since the start of the season was able, for once, to count on his partners to obtain the first victory of the season. Even if it was not decisive, the Tunisian obviously participated in the game of his team with in particular a center which will find Nordin, and where the latter will touch the bar.

Clermont Foot: 4-2-3-1

Desmas (3): Despite Stéphane domination in the first period, the CF38 goalkeeper had nothing to do. However, in the second half and especially during the last fifteen minutes, he got the ball three times in his own net.

Zedadka (6): Precise ball to the feet and author of several interceptions, he, like his team, lost the thread following the entry of Nordin at the end of the game.

Hountondji (5.5): Author of a good start to the season, the Auvergne defender once again held the house this afternoon but unfortunately had to go out on a stretcher after having countered a center from Khazri. Replaced by Billong.

Ogier (4): After a good hour of play, the entry of Nordin and Krasso brought the Auvergne defender to the ground.

N’Simba (6): Present defensively against Boudebouz, he was interesting on the offensive plan since he will overflow on his side before crossing for Bayo, who will open the scoring.

Saturday (5.5): Precise in its transmissions, it brought stability to the Clermont area.

Iglesias (4): Not serene defensively, he puts Saint-Etienne back in the game by releasing the ball on Nordin who will conclude the action with a goal.

Allevinah (6.5): Very restless on his side, the Gabonese winger strolled in front of Silva then Trauco. To conclude his good individual performance, he will deliver a decisive pass for his team’s second goal. Replaced by Tell.

Berthomier (7): Omnipresent offensively, Clermont’s attacking midfielder has done a lot of harm to the opposing defense, due to his ball catch. Indeed, the number 8 of the Auvergne club knew how to make differences by his dribbling but also his transmissions which broke lines. After having stumbled on Sow in the first period (where his shot will be saved on the line by the latter), the French did not relax and scored the second goal of his team with a beautiful left foot strike following a a center set back from Allevinah. Unfortunately, he will come out twenty minutes from the end of the game, keeping the adductor straight … Replaced by Khaoui.

Rashani (6): Always on the move in his lane, the latter was able to pose difficulties to the captain of Saint-Etienne thanks to his speed. Replaced by Dossou.

Bayo (6.5): He got the biggest opportunity in the first half. On a counter, the Guinean striker leaves alone and takes his vis-à-vis speed. Nonetheless, he adjusts Green very well but his attempt ends his run on the bar. In the second period, he opened the scoring following a cross from Rashani at the near post, the club’s top scorer took advantage of Stéphane’s defensive passivity to deceive Green at close range and score his seventh goal of the game. Replaced by Hamel.
