AS Saint-Etienne : Football / Ligue 1. “It’s a mess”, the Cambodian prince who wanted to buy AS Saint-Etienne, Ravichak Norodom, defends himself | ASSE News

It is a saga that has not finished agitating the news of AS Saint-Etienne. Cambodian Prince Ravichak Norodom, candidate for the acquisition of AS Saint-Etienne, spoke in The team Wednesday.

While AS Saint-Etienne had announced to file a complaint against him for “forgery, use of forgery and attempted fraud”, Norodom decided to counter-attack. “I asked my embassy in Paris to verify: the club did not file a complaint against me,” assures for example the one whose attempt to buy ASSE failed.

He also attacks the president Bernard Caïazzo and Roland Romeyer, wondering if they “really want to sell. I never met them, nor had any contact with them. Only three people from KPMG, during my official declaration of intent and to present my strategy. And again, it was by videoconference. If I were a prince from Qatar or Saudi Arabia, I’m sure they would have called me. I was ready to move to Dubai (where Bernard Caïazzo lives, editor’s note) ”.

Ravichak Norodom also returned on the sum of 250 million euros mentioned as being his personal fortune: “It is about the personal fortune of my uncle, his Majesty of Cambodia, not of the money which would have been used to buy the ‘ASSE’. Explaining that the latter would have come from a Chinese bank.
