Big precision on the selling price of ASSE
AS Saint-Étienne is about to turn a page in its history with the withdrawal of Bernard Caiazzo and Roland romeyer at the head of the club. The two entrepreneurs want to hand over after more than 16 years of co-presidency. In this context, Jean-Francois Soucasse, who arrived in January as director general of services, was appointed executive chairman of the Greens. It remains to be seen what will be the identity of the next owner of the Loire club. In the meantime, the business magazine Challenges has just delivered an important detail concerning the sale of Saint-Étienne. The weekly assures that KPMG, the firm commissioned to sell the club, has entrusted itself with the mission of valuing the Forézien club to the tune of 60 million euros.
Sainté at 60 M €, two candidates jostle
In its latest edition, the trade publication also confirms that two candidates are in the running to take over ASSE. Only one detail could slow down the AS Saint-Étienne sales process. The source indicates that Bernard Caïazzo would like to keep his place on the board of the Professional Football League. A choice that would not necessarily look favorably on the Greens’ takeover candidates. This could therefore derail the deal to the dismay of Saint-Etienne supporters eager for change for several years.
