AS Saint-Etienne : The KB Jardin jersey is back | ASSE News

For AS Saint-Étienne, the 2021-2022 season has a special taste. Orphaned by its supporters for eighteen long months, it celebrated, a few weeks ago, their return to its legendary Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary today. At the same time, the Musée des Verts has also been able to rediscover its former life and its so important role in memory. It once again makes the hearts of ASSE lovers beat faster by allowing them to (re) live the most beautiful stories of the Chaudron, its players and its supporters. Archives exhibited between four walls, but also in the streets thanks to the official equipment supplier, Le Coq Sportif, who decides to pay tribute to one of the emblematic jerseys of the Greens worn between 1981 and 1984: the KB Jardin.

To understand this jersey, you have to go back to the 80s, when the club is in the time of its greatest footballing exploits. For players, 1981 means a new season, new challenge, new equipment and new sponsor. Le Coq Sportif has chosen to rewrite history by reissuing the jersey. Thin white stripes dress this green background and outline the middle part. On the front, we find, as at the time, the emblems of the club and of the equipment manufacturer on both sides of the chest of the players as well as the KB Jardin logo in its center.

A jersey that is back on the front of the stage this Monday, September 13, 2021, on sale at the Boutique des Verts and online for € 89. Its original version can be found at the Musée des Verts.
