For several months, not to say years, Roland Romeyer and Bernard Caïazzo have taken steps to sell AS Saint-Etienne. Something that could well accelerate in the coming weeks.
According to Challenge, the two leaders of ASSE have lowered their financial requirements. Indeed, the cabinet “KPMG has been entrusted with the mandate to sell AS Saint-Etienne, with the objective of valuing the Forez club at 60 million euros “. An amount much lower than the € 100M initially announced.
A price revised downwards which should therefore speed up the sales process. Olivier Markarian (former manager of the company Markal, partner of AS Saint-Etienne) and the American fund Terrapin are obviously very serious candidates for the takeover of ASSE.
Regarding the timing, the leaders of Saint-Etienne are hoping for a sale to be made before the end of the year.
