AS Saint-Etienne : #MHSCASSE: Ignacio Ramirez: “I can’t wait to start” | ASSE News

When did you know that your future could be written at AS Saint-Étienne?

I learned the interest of ASSE on the last day of the transfer window. It was very quick, thanks to the help of the club and my agents. I am very happy with this opportunity. I had heard quite a bit about ASSE before. The supporters on social media quickly made me understand the importance of this club. I will try as much as possible to add my contribution to this edifice. I am excited to begin.

Did you have the opportunity to talk to Claude Puel, your coach?

I have already spoken with the coach, who speaks a little Spanish. He explained the game concepts to me, his philosophy. I already feel very good. Everything’s going well for me. The lights are green, on the administrative side or in the field. The coach will decide when I can start in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. I stand ready.

What do you think of Ligue 1 Uber Eats?

It’s a very competitive championship, a great league that has grown in recent times with the arrival of great forwards. My dream and my goal is to score a lot of goals too.

J’ai envie d’apporter beaucoup de joie aux supporters.

What kind of striker are you?

I try to adapt to all systems of play. I’m a fairly comfortable player in the box, a forward serving the team who like to find space. I will do my best to contribute to ASSE and allow the club to achieve its goals.

What are your goals this season?

In every game, I want to lead the team to victory. The attacker’s role is bound to be close to the opposing goal. My goal is for the team to win. Saint-Étienne is a great team with great popular support. Like all my teammates, I want to bring a lot of joy to the supporters.

Have you spoken with Gonzalo Bergessio, a former ASSE player who now plays in Uruguay?

I was able to speak with him through my brother who plays at the same club as him. He told me about the club, about the city of Saint-Étienne. He was a very good person who was available to me. What he told me about ASSE was very positive.
