AS Saint-Etienne : ASSE sale: Nasser Al-Khelaïfi involved? | ASSE News

Since Saturday, the sale of AS Saint-Etienne has entered a concrete phase.

Finally, say the supporters of the Greens, who remain suspicious when we know the versatility of the two presidents, but who have understood that Norodom Ravichak was a declared and serious candidate for the acquisition of the club. The offer of 100 million euros remains to be confirmed, but the Cambodian businessman fully intends to position himself and invest in the Forez club. The Prince of Cambodia has surrounded himself with people well placed to implement this project, and if for the moment, the sporting and financial contours are still very vague, the pawns are being placed. Antoine Chirat, journalist specializing in ASSE for Onze Mondial, explains that Norodom Ravichak’s company is notably run by a certain Ahmed Bessedik. The latter is quite simply a close friend of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, a Franco-Algerian businessman who has been discussing with the Qatari leader since the 2000s. With his two brothers, he would be part of the close Parisian circle of the president of PSG, and they can be brought to discuss with the players and the sponsors to make the link.

So this close friend of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to be in business relationship with Norodom Ravichak does not surprise many people in Paris, where Bernard Caïazzo also has his say. The co-president of ASSE has very good relations with the boss of PSG, and he has always campaigned for the arrival of a wealthy investor, rather than a group of entrepreneurs or shareholders. Suffice to say that the appearance of Norodom Ravichak does not happen by magic, but has been worked on beforehand. But for now, KPMG has not confirmed the club’s takeover offer, nor the Cambodian prince’s creditworthiness. As a result, access to ASSE’s accounting data is still closed. For the time being.
