This week, AS Saint-Etienne formalized the departure of Philippe Lyonnet from his post of Deputy Director General in charge of communication and media.

“The club salutes the important work it has accomplished in the development of numerous projects as well as in the structuring of the communication pole to which it has contributed all its expertise. Philippe Lyonnet has contributed to enhancing the image of ASSE by defending the values of the institution with rigor, loyalty and passion. The club wishes him every success in his future professional challenges. ” ASSE said in a press release.

Announced a few weeks ago by Progress, the departure of Philippe Lyonnet, close to Roland Romeyer, is explained by the decline taken by the latter in the club and the arrival in July of Jean-François Soucasse as Director General of Services “Who has decided to part ways with the trusted man of the chairman of the board in order to spark a new era” writing Progress.

On his LinkedIn account, Philippe Lyonnet commented on his departure from ASSE.

“It’s a privilege to work for AS Saint-Étienne, especially when you’re from Stéphanois and the art of living popular football has stuck with us since our childhood.

The last ten years spent in the service of a lighthouse in the Loire region have been intense and even spellbinding.

The projects followed one another like so many challenges. Their achievement revealed unsuspected resources within a team full of inspiration and enthusiasm. Sometimes the nights were short, but what a joy to have gone, together, to the end of our ideas and even to have exceeded them, whatever the context.

Beyond all the challenges raised, I have the joy of having met passionate and competent people who always make you want to do more, within the club but also among our partners and service providers. I also have the pride of having defended the values, history and identity of the Greens! ”

As a reminder, ASSE also announced this week the club logo change with the launch of a collaborative approach with supporters.
