AS Saint-Étienne have not registered any rookies since the opening of the summer transfer window. However, Claude Puel has already identified the posts where it expects reinforcements this summer. The Stéphanois coach wishes to strengthen himself with a new striker and a new axial defender. In recent hours, the name of the Parisian Arnaud Kalimuendo has been associated with ASSE. But with the strong competition on this issue, the Greens leadership is exploring other avenues. One of them would lead to Sandro Kulenovic. The Loire club are said to have already made an offer to secure the 21-year-old center-forward. Sportske Novosti reveals, however, that Saint-Etienne’s proposal did not receive a favorable response from Dinamo Zagreb.
Sainté still in contention for Kulenovic?
According to the same source, AS Saint-Étienne still has a chance to enlist Sandro Kulenovic. Croatian media claim that the striker rejected a tempting offer from Nottingham Forest. The Championship resident has reportedly made an offer of 3.5 million euros for the Croatian center-forward. But the player did not give in to the advances of the English club, not wanting to play in the second division. For the media, ASSE could recruit Kulenovic in case of a concrete financial offer. The young striker is estimated to be worth € 1million on Transfermarkt. He is returning from a loan to HNK Rijeka (Croatian D1). During his freelance, he scored 8 goals and delivered 6 offerings in 38 games. His contract with Dinamo runs until June 2024.
