Ligue 1 transfer window

Update on player departures, for Ligue 1 clubs.

Open for about a month and a half, the transfer market is not so intense everywhere, on the lawns of the French championship. And this goes both ways, arrivals and departures. Some clubs, more constrained than others by the effects of the Covid on ticketing and audiovisual rights, have had to downsize, before recruiting.

The LOC champion of France for disposals

It is exactly the case of the French champion Lille OSC. At this stage of the summer offseason, it is the one that has generated the most benefit from departures, amounting to 38.5 million euros, for the fixed portion. And more to aim for, with the added bonuses. In total, the twenty clubs in the French Ligue 1 championship, season 2021-22 have given up player contracts for 200.8 million euros.

ASSE and Clermont have not yet moved

That’s an average of 10 million per team, not far from what Angers has to recover with Aït Nouri, permanently transferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Eight clubs still have no paid sales (other than loan departures) and two, the promoted Clermont foot and his neighbor ASSE, did not act neither departure nor recruit, so far.
