After long negotiations with several clubs, coach Sylvain Ripoll announced the list of players selected to travel to Tokyo soon. Among them, Melvin Bard (OL), Arnaud Nordin and Stefan Bajic (ASSE).
France finally unveiled yesterday the group that will play the Olympic Games, from July 22 to August 8. 22 players could be called up, but, in the end, only 19 will go to Tokyo.
After obviously complicated negotiations, according to the daily L’Equipe, several clubs ended up “giving up” players. Lue coach Sylvain Ripoll was able to designate three players from Saint-Etienne and Lyon.

Olympique Lyonnais released goalkeeper Melvin Bard. For its part, AS Saint-Etienne has ceded striker Arnaud Nordin and goalkeeper Stefan Bajic.
The preparation, which should have started much earlier, will finally begin this Sunday, July 4 at Clairefontaine.
