After spending fourteen years at AS Saint-Etienne and two years in Andrézieux-Bouthéon, Romain Revelli the native child left the Loire for the North where he would train Dunkirk. It’s a great promotion that takes him from National 2 to Ligue 2.

Romain Revelli is a true child of the Greens, where he started as professional player. His brother Christophe had joined him, which made them the second Revelli siblings at ASSE pros, after Patrick and Hervé in the legendary team of the 1970s.

But the two pairs have only distant points in common Italian ancestors, love of the green jersey and the kids training together at the Etrat stadium.

Romain Revelli voluntarily left the field young enough, around 25, to move to the bench as a coach. After passing through the Haute-Loire, he quickly returned to the Greens with this new coaching status, first for train the U17s.

Four years alongside Christophe Galtier

Then he was called in 2011 by Christophe galtier, appointed ASSE coach in 2009, to be his deputy. He will be for four years and 100 matches in Ligue 1.

In 2015, he became assistant coach and then coach ofEvian Thonon Gaillard, then in Ligue 2, until the club’s liquidation in 2016.

In 2017, it becomes Andrézieux-Bouthéon coach. The native of Saint-Chamond thus reconnects with his Loire roots. With a complicated parenthesis at the Cholet club, he led the club to third place in National 2 at the end of his two seasons, and to Round of 16 of the Coupe de France during the 2018 – 2019 season.

A great start to his career that could see him perhaps one day becoming the coach of the Greens …
