The Chicago Fire FC has just announced on its official website, Robert Beric received today, his American green card, granting him permanent resident status in the United States.
The 29-year-old forward is now a permanent US resident. At the Chicago Fire club since his arrival in January 2020, Beric is a “Designated Player”, a status specific to the MLS, allowing clubs to exceed the salary cap imposed in the United States. Under contract until December 2021, Beric should therefore in all likelihood extend his lease with his Chicago club.
Obtaining her “Green Card” will allow his club to free up a place for its international players. Indeed, each MLS team is offered eight places.
