Ligue 1 capital club
From the almost regulatory minimum to € 340 million, the share capital of Ligue 1 clubs.

Public limited companies (SA), owned by one or more shareholders, this is the format of all French teams, in Ligue 1 (or Monaco, apart, in the Principality). With, differently, a board of directors for the majority, a management board, for others, but a legal status which requires in this case, a minimum share capital of 37,000 euros.

€ 340 million the capital of PSG, the highest in Ligue 1

The share capital is compulsory for all companies, but it is not fixed in time and can change, increase or decrease on the decisions of the partners, this was notably the recent case, in October, on the side of the Olympique de Marseille, increased by 132,128,683.08 euros, to now 243,748,340.88 euros. It’s after Paris Saint-Germain, at 340 million euros, the biggest in the championship.

Recent increase on the OM side, significant decrease at LOSC

There may be many reasons for this operation: bearing the costs of the crisis, relieving structural debt, strengthening finances, etc. Conversely in Lille, it was reduced a year ago, almost everything stacked, from 7,350,910 to 102,912.74 euros. It has since been the lowest on the plateau. On average, the share capital of a Ligue 1 club approaches 42.5 million euros. Stade Rennais is the club that comes closest to it, at just over 34 million euros.
