A ranking almost unexpected a few weeks ago. Indeed, theASSE was, until recently, in bad shape in this championship. The work of building Claude Puel is therefore starting to bear fruit. Bodes well for next season, at least if the coach of the Greens retains his best elements.
Frustrated and especially annoyed last summer by the departure of Wesley fofana for Leicester, Claude Puel will not accept that such a soap opera happens again during the next transfer window. Indeed, the coach ofASSE has already announced to its leaders that it is vetoing any possible departures from Lucas Gourna-Douath and Mahdi camara.
Claude Puel therefore wishes to rely on Gourna and Camara to continue building next season. Will he be heard? Coveted, the two players could be the subject of offers during this transfer window. Substantial offers which could well make the board of theAS Saint-Etienne.
Nevertheless the leaders of theASSE are warned. If the soap opera Fofana recurs this summer, Claude Puel will pack up!
