AS Saint-Etienne : OGC Nice rushes on an attacker from Sainté! | ASSE News

TheOGC Nice checked the name of a player from the ASSE in view of the next summer transfer window. The latter is on the list of targets for the Aiglons for the 2021-2022 season.

ASSE: negotiations between OGC Nice and Hamouma

At the end of the contract at ASSE, Romain Hamouma interests OGC Nice. The Riviera side are in ambush to sign the 34-year-old forward without paying transfer fees. The Aiglons’ interest in the latter is confirmed by insider Mohamed Toubache-Ter. The Nice management are in negotiations with the player of AS Saint-Étienne according to the source, and “the exchanges are rather positive”. Indeed, OGC Nice is counting on Romain Hamouma to bring “his experience and supervise the youth of Nice” according to Toubache-Ter’s explanations. Speaking of experience, he wore the SM Caen jersey in Ligue 2 (in 2009-2010), then in Ligue 1 between 2010 and 2012. Since July 2012, he has been playing in the elite under the ASSE jersey. He has 306 games in L1 and 35 games in L2.

Reunion between Hamouma and Galtier in Nice?

Romain Hamouma could arrive at OGC Nice at the same time as Christophe Galtier. The current LOSC coach is also courted by the club of British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe. Indeed, the native of Montbéliard played under the orders of the Lille coach between 2012 and 2017. And Galtier has always relied on the versatile offensive player during the five seasons of collaboration with ASSE. With less than a month to go before the summer transfer window opens, it is a period of speculation and any turnaround seems possible. A few days ago, Romain Hamouma was announced to an exotic championship in the Gulf where he would have received an irresistible offer.
