AS Saint-Étienne could welcome a Tunisian rookie as a free player in the summer transfer window. Local press say ASSE has already reached an agreement with a full-back who expires this summer.
Tunisian international announced at ASSE
With its limited financial resources, AS Saint-Étienne is forced to take an interest in a certain profile of players. Internally, the management of the Forez club has already completed the contract extensions of three young people. Étienne Green, Saïdou Sow and Aimen Moueffek have extended with the Loire club. In the transfer market, ASSE is particularly interested in players at the end of their contract or those with a market value in their strings. On this subject, the Tunisian press assures that the Greens have already touched the goal. Press affirms indeed that Wajdi Kechrida “Will join AS Saint-Étienne once ESS completes the Tunisian Cup round.” This in order to leave the club “by the front door”.
Kechrida, a € 0 recruit promised to the Greens?
25-year-old Wajdi Kechrida plays as the right-back at Etoile du Sahel. Not extended, the Tunisian international with 13 capes will be free on June 30. Having spent part of his training at OGC Nice, Kechrida could therefore have his first real experience in Europe with ASSE next season. In the current campaign, the Nice native has played 28 games with ESS for two goals and four assists. With the departure of the captain Mathieu Debuchy (at the end of the contract and not extended), a place has become available on the right flank of the defense. All that remains is to wait for an officialization to confirm the arrival of another Tunisian in the Forez after that of Wahbi Khazri in 2018.
