Émile Robert, 100 years old and a lifelong supporter of ASSE
After the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the Glasgow final, we go back in time decades, in the early years of ASSE.
At that time was playing Emile robert. He was 100 years old at the start of May 2021. He is the oldest player at AS Saint-Étienne. A centenary in great shape and with vivid memories.
He climbed the ranks of the junior teams to reach the pros and play a few meetings. A beautiful story interrupted for a little over two years by the STO. He had to leave Forez for Austria.
But then, he left ASSE to play in Rive-de-Gier, Saint-Chamond or even Saint-Didier-En-Velay to quit football at the age of 40. He then devoted himself, with success, to the Lyonnaise ball.
He was honored by the club, he received a green jersey flocked with the number 100. Listen to Émile Robert recount his years at ASSE.
