Recruited from Nîmes in 2019, Denis Bouanga has never really won in Saint-Etienne. This season, he has achieved, like his team, an average season. In 33 games in all competitions, the striker has scored seven goals. A situation which pushes the Gabonese to have desires elsewhere. A Bouanga – Cissé exchange?
Fond of Ligue 1 players, Olympiakos would have ticked the name of Denis Bouanga to strengthen his offensive line. As a reminder, the Greek champion already has four former residents of the French championship in his workforce: Yann M’Vila, Kenny Lala, Youssef El-Arabi and Mathieu Valbuena. The Gabon international could be tempted by a challenge abroad, especially since the Greek club will play in the European Cup next season. The two clubs have good relations since Pape Abdou Cissé, a 25-year-old central defender, is loaned to Forez by the Piraeus club. Aligned 13 times by Claude Puel this season, the Senegalese is popular with the leaders of Saint-Etienne, who want to keep him. Given the interest of Olympiakos for Denis Bouanga, an exchange could be considered by the two formations. Pape Abdou Cissé joined Greece in 2017 after three full seasons at Ajaccio.
