Monaco sprayed Saint-tienne.

A health walk. Without forcing, Monaco sprayed Saint-tienne (0-4), this Friday, at the opening of the 30th day of Ligue 1. Carried by an Aurlien Tchouamni in sparkling form, the princely club, solid 4th, temporarily returns a point of Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain, respectively 3rd and 2nd, who face each other on Sunday in a shock for the first places.

Jovetic’s crazy quarter of an hour

Monaco started the match with a bang. Thanks to intense pressing, visitors smothered panicked Greens. After a first hot alert, with a bar from Jovetic, Debuchy conceded a penalty for a hand in the box. But the Montngrin striker sent his shot on the post! Moments later, the Mongolian striker caught up by perfectly crossing his shot low to the ground (0-1, 13th). An incredible determination which posed very big worries to the Greens, exceeded for 20 minutes.

Small child, ASSE got its head out of the water and tightened the lines to prevent ASM from intensifying its domination. Thanks in particular to the stalls of Khazri and Boudebouz, the locals managed to balance the debates without however succeeding in being dangerous. Surprisingly enough, Monaco struggled to regain their mastery from the start of the match and let their opponent come close to Lecomte’s goal, forced to make exits outside of his area to calm everyone down.

The Greens sink after the break

On returning from the locker room, Monaco recovered and set off a little further. On an excellent service from Golovin, Tchouamni shot Bajic with a heavy cross strike to make the break (0-2, 55th). Touched and even definitively sunk a few minutes later. On a very bad pass behind Neyou, Diop emerged to spin alone towards Bajic’s goal, which he lobbed magnificently with a small dive while mastering (0-3, 64th).

Totally the street, Saint-tienne no longer sought to mark but to limit the breakage. Something that Claude Puel’s men were unable to do since Diatta, on his first ball, transformed without trembling the offering of Fabregas (0-4, 77th). Almost the whole match without Ben Yedder, who made his entry into the game in the last ten minutes, Monaco offered a health walk that will allow him to spend a warm weekend while waiting for the clash between Lyon and Paris.

The score of the match: 5/10

An abysmal, almost embarrassing gap between the two teams. Serious and solid, Monaco has plan in this meeting, despite a slightly less good end of the first period. The visitors were treated to many pretty gestures to defeat Greens completely off the plate. A meeting far too unbalanced.

The goals :

– After a good job from Volland on the right, Diop shifts Tchouamni, who calls for Jovetic. Entering the surface, the Montngrin striker clears the Stphanois defense with a hook to the outside to play with a surgical cross strike low to the ground (0-1, 13th).

– Dcal on the right of the surface, Golovin intelligently puts the ball back for Tchouamni, who instantly resumes a heavy strike crosses under the bar to deceive Bajic (0-2, 55th).

– Neyou completely misses his pass back for Ciss since Diop, on the lookout, is there to intercept the ball. Starting from 35 meters, the young Mongasque comes before Bajic, whom he deceives with a nice unstoppable lob (0-3, 64th).

– On the left side, Volland and center at the penalty spot for Fabregas. The Spanish midfielder shifts in one touch Diatta, who on his first ball, deceives Bajic with a half-steal at the far post (0-4, 77th).

Player NOTES

Maxifoot has awarded a score (out of 10) comments on each player.

Man of the match: Aurlien Tchouamni (8.5 / 10)

Sacred middle game passed by Bordeaux! Very comfortable in the double pivot that he formed with Fofana, he had a tremendous impact, since he was in particular the origin of the opening of the score of Jovetic thanks to a nice deviation. In the second period, he made the break with a heavy strike under the bar. In the oven and in the mill, it was omnipresent on both sides of the land. By far the most impressive on the field.

ST ETIENNE :

Stefan Bajic (3): taking advantage of Moulin’s absence, the young goalkeeper did not manage to be decisive. Saved by his posts on two strikes from Jovetic, he is overall too feverish to allow his team not to sink.

Saidou Sow (3): a very difficult match. The defender spent his time chasing the Monaco forwards. A bad evening for him.

Pape Ciss (4): the only defender to have tried to scratch ground on his holes … On the other hand, he was very heavy in his movements to return to his opponents, much more lively.

Timothe Kolodziejczak (2): catastrophic. His replacement on the left side of the defense after the break following the exit of Trauco was a bad idea since he was systematically overwhelmed in the second half. A terrible match.

Mathieu Debuchy (4): the right piston experienced a very difficult first quarter of an hour with a penalty conceded and several drafts caught in his back. He recovered in the crowd but generally made little contribution on both sides of the field.

Yvan Neyou Noupa (5): one of the only ASSE players to have made a correct copy. It was interesting in his faculty to lay the play to squeeze the Mongasque block. After an hour of quality, he broke down by completely missing his recovery, which benefited Diop. Really too bad … Replace the 67th minute with Anthony Modeste (not rated).

Mahdi Camara (5): the Forzian milieu has spent a lot to try to contain its Mongascian counterparts. He has at least made the effort, which is already a lot in view of certain services from his partners.

Miguel Trauco (3.5): a small part for the Bolivian left lateral. He is not irreproachable on the goal of Jovetic since he throws himself like a bruise in the feint of the Mongolian striker. Offensively, he has nothing to contribute. Replace the 46th minute with Charles Abi (4.5), who posed some concerns after his entry into play by winning aerial duels in the box. It remains light.

Ryad Boudebouz (3): the Algerian playmaker was ghostly. He never managed to take the bull by the horns to corner the defense of Monaco. A trial. Replace the 60th minute with Zaydou Youssouf (not rated).

Wahbi Khazri (4): the Tunisian striker gave a lot without really being dangerous. He got some good free kicks that were badly negotiated. Too messy overall. Replace the 67th minute with Maxence Rivera (not rated).

Denis Bouanga (2.5): the Gabonese striker was completely transparent. Too little used, he did not weigh at all in this match. A disaster. Replace the 81st minute with Amen Moueffek (not rated).

MONACO :

Benjamin Lecomte (6): the French international was calm. He was able to make the opportune exits in front of Khazri and repel the timid strikes of his opponents. A very quiet evening.

Djibril Sidib (6): correct, nothing more. The French world champion was content to defend in his lane without ever taking any risks. He did it pretty well, and that’s most important.

Axel Disasi (6.5): captain for the occasion, the central defender was able to gain respect. He was never really worried in this meeting where he did not have to force his talent.

B. Badiashile (6): Bleuet had a little difficulty than its captain in the first period. He committed many faults on Khazri with very strong contacts. After the break he ended up playing in an armchair. Replace the 83rd minute with Chrislain Matsima (not rated).

Caio Henrique (6): a few diving centers in the first period and good management of his lane, the Brazilian left side did the job. Far from being exceptional but reliable to secure its area. Replace the 83rd minute with Fod Ballo-Tour (not rated).

Sofiane Diop (6.5): preferred Aguilar, the young Mongasque was efficient in the first quarter of an hour before running out of steam until the break with few successful gestures. However, he made up for it when he got back from the locker room by scoring with a nice lob shortly before his exit. Enough to hurt ASSE. Replace the 65th minute with Cesc Fabregas (not rated), decisive passer of a nice deviation for Diatta.

Aurlien Tchouamni (8.5): read comment above.

Youssouf Fofana (7.5): very good match for the midfielder, who made his power speak without really forcing. Her forward passes hurt a lot, like the one that brought Tchouamni’s goal. A very serious copy.

Aleksandr Golovin (6.5): a disappointing first period for the Russian attacking midfielder, who played intermittently. He wakes up very seriously after the break by multiplying the defensive returns in the right lane but also and above all by offering the second goal Tchouamni on a plateau. Replace the 76th minute with Krpin Diatta (not rated), author of his first goal with ASM on his first ball.

Stevan Jovetic (7): the Montngrin striker delivered a pretty crazy first quarter of an hour, worthy of his heyday in Fiorentina. A bar, a penalty caused that he shoots at the post then a goal with a beautiful cross shot, the center forward has gone through all his troubles. He was interesting in his stalls and multiplied the combinations with his partners. He was a little less prominent in the second period. Replace the 76th minute with Wissam Ben Yedder (not rated).

Kevin Volland (7): without his partner, Ben Yedder, the German striker was less prominent during the first period. This does not prevent him from giving a lot on the left wing, with in particular a good job on the opening of the score of Jovetic. He gained momentum over the minutes and was once again very important in percussion by bringing in Diatta’s goal. No goal, but a clean match.
