AS Saint-Etienne : The Greens avoid relapse – Dbrief and NOTES of the players (ASSE 1-1 Reims) – Football | ASSE News

At the end of a hooked match, Saint-tienne and Reims shared the points (1-1), this Saturday, during the 26th day of Ligue 1. A score of logical parity which brings the two teams of maintenance closer.

The Greens

ASSE and Reims shared the points.

Shared feelings Saint-tienne. While they had the opportunity to celebrate with a third consecutive success in the league, the Greens could only obtain a draw against Reims (1-1), this Saturday, during the 26th day of Ligue 1. Men approaching additional time, the Forzien club pulled out to avoid relapse and take an additional step towards maintenance.

A purge in the first period

Under a blazing sun, the Greens took control of the ball. Despite interesting combinations, the locals broke their teeth on a solid defense. Over the minutes, a false rhythm set in and the two teams had more and more difficulty showing themselves inspired in the last meters. It was on a free kick that Saint-Tienne got his most dangerous opportunity, but Rajkovic stepped in to reassure his people. Moulin was not outdone either, as the Stphanois goalkeeper repelled Mbuku’s acrobatic shot. A first period of balance but without much flavor.

Abi makes up for her mistake

On returning from the locker room, Reims accelerated the pace by playing much higher. But it was ASSE that got the best opportunities. Camara and Nordin forced Rajkovic to relax on their strikes as Neyou narrowly missed the target on his floating shot. An inefficiency that the Greens paid cash for. On a corner, Abi let go of the Tour marking which placed a perfect crosshead to deceive Moulin (0-1, 72nd).

Saint-tienne curled the correctional in the crowd on a fleeting strike from Dia which passed very close to the post. An opportunity that Reims could regret. While Aouchiche missed a huge opportunity on a head at the far post, Abi made up for his mistake by shooting his shot after a Tour save on his line (1-1, 89th). A deserved draw for the Greens who even believed to leave with the three points without a huge failure of Bouanga in the last moments.

The score of the match: 4/10

A pretty poor match. A first period without much flavor with very few opportunities, a second act a little more lively. The result is ultimately logical between two close teams at all levels.

The goals :

– On a left corner shot by Doumbia, Tour escapes Abi’s vigilance to place a crossed head in the small opposite net on which Moulin can do nothing (0-1, 72nd).

– Moukoudi takes advantage of a nice deviation from Ciss to try his luck at close range. The ball is pushed back on its line by Tour but Abi, the lookout, sends a big shot that leaves no chance the rearguard Champagne (1-1, 90th).

Player NOTES

Maxifoot has awarded a score (out of 10) comments on each player.

Man of the match: Predrag Rajkovic (7/10)

The Serbian keeper was good. Serene on his line, he repelled almost all the key strikes of ASSE. Bouanga, Khazri, Aouchiche, Nordin, all of them broke their teeth on him. It took Abi a final attempt to crack him.

ST ETIENNE :

Jessy Moulin (5): an infuriating match for the Stphanois goalkeeper. Little contribution, he bowed on an unstoppable cross head of Tour. Difficult to collect.

Mathieu Debuchy (5.5): fighting spirit, effort, the right side was good defensively. On the other hand, he no longer has his 20-year-old canes to provide offensive support, and it has been seen, even if he gives himself a great opportunity when he comes back from the locker room.

Harold Moukoudi (6.5): in line with his last outings, the former player from Le Havre was solid. Apart from an inconsequential raise error at the start of the match, he was generally clean. He is the origin of the equalizing goal with his heavy strike pushes back on his line by Tour.

Pape Ciss (6.5): the glove of the central defense did not have to force to contain the attackers from Rome. He made a very good tackle in front of Kutesa after returning from the locker room to reassure his people. At the end of the game, it is he who realizes the beautiful deviation that leads to the equalizing goal.

Miguel Trauco (5): the Pruvian left side had some problems against Kutesa. If he was active in the first period, he completely disappeared after the break.

Denis Bouanga (4): the Gabonese striker was clearly not having a great day. If he was restless, he was incredibly awkward in everything he undertook with passes that were too imprecise. A disappointing copy returned by the Panthre who missed the match point in added time.

Lucas Gourna-Douath (6): one of the best Greens in the first period. The midfielder made use of his power to break the lines several times. Replace the 46th minute with Adil Aouchiche (4), which contributed too little despite a great opportunity late in the game.

Mahdi Camara (5.5): the Forzian midfielder provided great efforts, first in the axis then in a more lateral position. He had more physical pain after the break. Replace the 79th minute with Zaydou Youssouf (not rated).

Yvan Neyou Noupa (5.5): an interesting first half with an ability to break the lines thanks to incisive passes. He also suffered the blow physically upon returning from the locker room.

Wahbi Khazri (4): a tone below. The Tunisian attacking midfielder was too little found even if he managed to get himself some situations, including a frame strike a little too soft. Way. Replace the 46th minute with Arnaud Nordin (5.5), who had a great opportunity before offering a leftover caviar by Aouchiche at the end of the match.

Anthony Modeste (4): a small game for the Stphanois striker. Too little use during the first 45 minutes, it was a little better in the second period thanks to its interesting pivotal play. It remains very light. Replace the 58th minute with Charles Abi (not rated), at fault on the goal of Reims with a too loose marking on Tour before equalizing at the end of the game. Hot and cold.

REIMS :

Predrag Rajkovic (7): read comment above.

Thomas Foket (5.5): captain for the occasion, the Belgian right side has held his position by containing Khazri rather well. We saw him very little in front of him despite a good situation after the locker room.

Marshall Nyasha Munetsi (6): replaced in central defense to compensate for the absences of Abdelhamid and Maresic, the usual medium was good. He has a Modeste padlock to prevent him from turning around.

Wout Faes (6.5): rough interventions but within the rules for the Belgian central defender. He was good in the duels against the attackers from Champagne.

Ghislain Konan (5.5): good overflows in the first period, a little less in sight after the break, the Ivorian left side first sought safety. He was a little more in difficulty in the last quarter of an hour on the breakthroughs of Nordin.

Derek Kutesa (5): holder following Cafaro’s last-minute defect, the Swiss Espoirs international rose to power in the first period with several sharp piercings. But it lacked accuracy on its transmissions to serve its partners well. Replace the 59th minute with Moussa Doumbia (not rated), decisive passer on corner.

Moreto Cassam (5.5): a good physical presence for the Bissaoguinen environment. On the other hand, he had difficulty finding his partners forward, abusing the side passes a little too much.

Valon Berisha (5): the former Lazio player found some openings, especially on the big occasion of Mbuku in the first period, but he was generally quite erased. We expect more from him.

Arber Zeneli (3): the Kosovar winger is clearly in the hard. Too little impact, he made a lot of bad choices on his passes. Once again a disappointing part for him. Replace the 60th minute with El Bilal Tour (not rated), scorer on a corner and author of a vain rescue on his line at the end of the match.

Boulaye Dia (5): a match in two stages. A very complicated first period during which he was never served. A second act much more consistent with many sharp calls and a big opportunity after the goal of Tour. Replace the 80th minute with Mouhamadou Drammeh (not rated).

Nathanal Mbuku (4): a rather disappointing performance for the rmois winger. He only gets one chance, in the first half, on an acrobatic return close to hitting the target. Lger to shake up the Greens.
