Close to a start at Olympiakos this summer, Miguel Trauco is now enjoying ASSSE and is no longer considering leaving club Forez.
Recruited in 2019 after a stint in Brazil, Miguel Trauco had a complicated first year atASSE. The player did not fit into the plans of Claude Puel and a departure during the last summer transfer window had been mentioned. His agent had entered into negotiations with theOlympiacos, but the left-back reversed his decision after a discussion with his coach as he admitted to Peruvian media. Under contract until 2022, Miguel Trauco has managed to turn things around this season and is now on a string in Ligue 1. Asked about his future, the player said he wanted to stay at Saint Etienne in order to win.
“My goal is to stay here a few more years”
” Last summer it was all done with Olympiakos, I was even looking for a house, but some things happened. Then things were settled with the coach and I stayed (…) Now, I am under contract with Saint-Etienne until June 2022, my goal is to stay here for a few more years, I still have not intend to return to South America. We were coming off a not-so-good series but we were able to secure an away victory against Nice. We must now prepare for Wednesday’s match against Nantes ” said Miguel Trauco in an interview with El Popular.
