Dreyer (5): He was able to spend an almost quiet evening thanks to the uninspired Stéphanois when it came time to frame strikes.
Mendes (6): A successful center and that’s enough to hit the mark. Decisive passer on his team’s second goal, however, he had some difficulties facing the climbs of Trauco.
Gravel (6): Good interventions in the feet against Bouanga, and duels won in the air against Modeste or Abi. A good match.
Laporte (5): He knew how to physically hamper the Lorient attackers. Overall a good game.
Chalobah (5): Like his colleagues in the central defense, he had a good match where they were able to contain the Greens’ attacks.
Le Goff (6): He suffered against Nordin but did well thanks to his courage and his resentment. He tried to bring a little offensively but very discreet.
The Fairy (5): A good activity in the middle where he rubbed shoulders with a very physical Stéphanois environment. he could have scored a very nice goal but his shot from afar went narrowly. Replaced by Wissa (61 ‘) who made a good comeback by getting the equalizer free kick.
Monconduit (6): The former Amiens did not know how to bring offensively tonight, an average match on his part. Replaced by Lemoine (61 ‘) who finds his former club and who brought his experience in the conservation of the ball.
Abergel (6): The youngster trained in Marseille was not faulted by the Stéphanois midfielder. A good sober match where the captain was able to give of his person in the efforts.
Boisgard (4): A few unsuccessful attempts, he did not weigh on this match tonight, unfortunately for him. Replaced by Laurienté (9) see above.
Moffi (6): He will have tried but not very successful. Good combination but a lack of precision in his passes or his dribbling. Taken by a quality Stéphanoise defense. Replaced by Grbic (83 ‘)
AS Saint Etienne: 4-2-3-1
Mill (5.5): Not much to say about this game, if not frustrating. He had almost nothing to do and took a masterful free kick full window and a shot from close range.
Debuchy (5): A good match then a mistake and this is how to seal his match and that of his team. By leaving Laurienté alone on the second goal.
Moukoudi (8): He could have been the man of the match with a goal scored, decisive interventions in defense and almost all of his duels won. But he had the limelight stolen by a wild Laurentians.
Cisse (6.5): A good match where the defense of the Greens was not often taken lacking. A frustrating match because with his friend from the defense they had a good meeting.
Trauco (6): A good match where he knew how to preserve his side. On the other hand, he was at fault on the second goal where he left too much space for Mendes. Apart from that, a good meeting where he was able to be offensive.
Camara (6.5): He was able to control the Lorient midfielder and rake the balloons that were passing in front of him. Still just as comfortable in the revival and technically. Replaced by Gourna-Douath (83 ‘).
Youssouf (6): A match to forget, where he did not have the influence of his midfielder partner. He was quickly replaced by Moueffeck (59 ‘)
Nordin (7.5): Another big match where he dynamited the Stéphanoise attack. He dribbled, provoked but his centers found very few takers. The fault of attackers not sufficiently involved. Decisive passer on free kick, he is replaced by Aouchiche (83 ‘).
Neyou (6): A good match where he was able to win in the middle and block the players from Lorient. A good game from him tonight.
Bouanga (2): He does not manage. In this match, he will not have succeeded, neither dribbling nor cross. He was not even at the reception of the Nordin centers. A very difficult match.
Modest (5.5): He still lacks a bit of physical condition to hold a full match. Good movements, interesting ball catches but too few balls. Replaced by Abi (60 ‘) who definitely does not manage to set up his game and win. Too little present in the surface.
