A natural leader

“I just want to find a lot of fun, explained the 32-year-old scorer. Score goals because I get paid for it. The last few years have been more complicated at the level of private life. When I arrived here I found a smile again. I know I will have fun here. We really have a great group“.
On loan without a purchase option until the end of the season, Anthony Modeste is only here for four months but he wants to take responsibility: “I am able to assume my role of goalscorer and pass on my experience. I am no longer a young person. I want to give what was brought to me. I want to bring this culture that I learned also in Germany“.
A family story
The story between the striker and AS Saint-Étienne remains to be built. But the idea of continuity is already there: “It is a family affair, ASSE. My dad, agent, and step dad played here. It’s up to me to make them proud of me. With the help of my teammates because alone we go faster but together we go further. Pressure ? Saint-Étienne had been following me for a while. It has not been done before but now I’m going to do my best“.
