FC Lorient with several absent against ASSE
Although 15th in Ligue 1 Conforama, AS Saint-Étienne has recovered since its loss (0-5) against Lyon. ASSE remain in five games unbeaten in the league: three wins and two draws. Hanging on by the Stade de Reims on the last day, the Greens will want to return to victory this Sunday on the lawn of FC Lorient. For this meeting counting for the 27th day, the Stéphanois coach decided to do without Ryad Boudebouz. The Algerian pays the returns in the group of Kévin Monnet-Paquet and Maxence Rivera. As announced on the eve of the match, Romain Hamouma, Wahbi Khazri and Yvann Maçon are still unavailable for travel to Morbihan. Despite these absences, the Greens can hope to bring back a result from the Moustoir. Several absences are to be deplored on the Lorient side.
Reasons to hope for Sainté against Lorient
Christophe Pélissier will have to deal with several absentees, especially in defense against ASSE. Morel, Delaplace, Mouyoukolo, Fontaine, Saunier and Ilori are fixed for the reception of AS Saint-Étienne. FC Lorient coach will also be deprived of winger Stéphane Diarra. Lorient will therefore face Saint-Étienne with a reduced squad. Bad news for the current 19th in the championship. Against a reduced FCL, Claude Puel therefore has reason to believe in success. Such a result would allow the Greens to move further away from the relegation zone.
