In its last weekly letter, the Football Observatory at the International Center for the Study of Sport (CIES) focused on the capital gains made on the transfer market by the Big-5 clubs (Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Premier League, Ligue 1) during the last ten mercatos, i.e. since summer 2016.
AS Saint-Etienne come in sixth place in this study and in fourth place for French clubs. In the last ten markets, the Loire club spent € 68 million and recorded € 146 million in revenue. The Greens therefore have a positive balance of € 78 million.
