It was in the air and it is now official: Xavier Thuilot, yet very close to Claude Puel whom he had known at LOSC, left his post of general manager of AS Saint-Etienne. The ASSE indeed announced it via an official press release on its website on Monday, two days after the heavy defeat of the Greens of St Etienne against Stade de Reims in Ligue 1 (3-1).

And to succeed Xavier Thuilot as CEO of ASSE, AS Saint-Etienne has decided to appoint Jean-François Soucasse, according to information from the newspaper Le Progrès, often well informed on the news of the club of Drill.

Former professional player, Jean-François Soucasse had worn the St Etienne Greens jersey between 1995 and 1998. In his post-career, he became general manager of TFC – Toulouse FC and held this position from 2012 to 2020.
