OL / ASSE, ASSE / OL, these two meetings are often the most anticipated in a season by supporters of both teams.
The anecdotes are endless. In this episode, Christian Lanier will return to three very specific derbies.
We will start with an ASSE / OL of 1964 for the top of the ranking, which ends with the tears of Nestor Combin after the Lyon defeat which buries his title hopes. It is the Stéphanois Robert Herbin who will come to console him.
In 1999, OL contested the derby in Saint-Etienne with shorts … black, training shorts from Stéphanois loaned by ASSE, with very varied sizes! There was however no malice of the Stéphanois, but rather a whim of the referee of the day who will recognize much later that he had perhaps gone a little far.
Finally, we will end with the case of the false passports of the two Brazilians from ASSE, revealed by the Brazilian agent of a Lyonnais just before a derby.
