The passage of Roland Romeyer on Egyptian television has derailed the transfer of Mustafa Mohamed to ASSE. But things could change to a staggering condition.
We don’t really know what Zamalek’s young Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed is worth, but the drama of his possible transfer to AS Saint-Etienne is turning tragicomic. The leaders of the two clubs seemed to be able to reach an agreement quickly, but speaking on an Egyptian channel, Roland Romeyer had indicated that he was furious at the behavior of the Egyptian club, believing that leaders wanted to binge financially on the transfer. As a result, Zamalek and Mostafa Mohamed announced the end of negotiations with ASSE, deeming the comments of the Greens co-president offensive. We were there in this case, when two new events, to say the least, folkloric, now rekindle speculation in the case of the attacker coveted by Sainté.
At first, an Egyptian journalist put a line a letter a priori written by Jean-Luc Buisine, recruiting director of AS Saint-Etienne, who would have indicated to the Zamalek club that Roland Romeyer’s remarks were not aimed at Egyptian rulers at all, but intermediaries. We were there before the new revelations from Zamalek News, which for its part claims that the club did not receive any mail from ASSE, that the document uploaded was posted on What’App via the player’s agent and that he demands a written apology from the president of the Greens before resuming possible negotiations to lead to the transfer of Mostafa Mohamed. In other words, the file does not yet seem completely closed, the Egyptian team clearly opening the door to Roland Romeyer and Bernard Caïazzo for a resumption of discussions.
