The story between Stéphane Ruffier and AS Saint-Etienne should soon end. According to the newspaper L’Equipe, the 34-year-old goalkeeper, with 383 games in the Green jersey, will be dismissed for serious misconduct.

ASSE reportedly seized the legal commission of the LFP for “the unilateral termination” of Stéphane Ruffier’s employment contract. The two parties are summoned to an attempt at conciliation on December 15.

Still according to the Team, this approach follows Ruffier’s second temporary layoff on 19 November for “an act of insubordination”. This time, he is accused of having adopted “a contemptuous attitude by leaving training prematurely and without any authorization “.
