Debuchy still decisive
Mathieu Debuchy has restored its letters of nobility to the green defense since his return from injury. With him at the kick-off, the Stéphanois do not lose any more. They do not earn enough you will tell me, of course, but it is difficult to attribute that to him. All the more so after this match in Monaco where he sounded the revolt by signing the equalizer with a well-felt header from a corner. Countered by an inspired Mannone on his line, he could even have given the win to his team in the second half.
Gourna taulier in the middle
If he did not necessarily achieve a flashy performance, the young Stéphanois was especially noticed when he was replaced by Boudebouz. Once the latter came out of the lawn, the Saint-Etienne milieu was much less conquering. Something all the more regrettable as the Monegasques were reduced to ten and struggled to revive properly at the end of the first act. Scratching a few balloons, he especially freed Camara from part of his defensive tasks, making it possible to seek the men of the Rock above.

Deceived from the start of the game by Sofiane Diop, the Stéphanois porter was already showing signs of feverishness. Passing through each of his aerial outings on the distant free kicks of Aguilar, he was wait-and-see on the opening of the scoring, leaving all the latitude to Diop to carry out his beautiful sequence. Worse, his kicking game was still failing on the Rock. Returning free balls to the Monegasques, he no longer seems able to be decisive.
Kolo still exceeded
Yes, the central defender had to deal with a new partner in the axis. But how to explain that his partner turned out to be less in difficulty? On the one hand, the Stéphanois was not imperial in his first raises, on the other hand he is clearly responsible for the Monegasque equalizer. While Gelson Martins is in the duel with Debuchy, Kolodziejczak arrives with the flower of the gun and allows the attacker to offer a ready-made goal to Volland, on the only princely situation. An error which therefore costs two new points for the Greens.
Monnet-Paquet lacking benchmarks
Claude Puel took the time to explain this surprise tenure of the native of Bourgoin-Jallieu by his training services, and his rise in physical strength. Repeating the effort is one thing, but creating differences is another. Covering Diop on the opening scoring while playing winger, the Stéphanois struggled to position himself well. On the other side of the field, he unfortunately failed to deliver the right ball to his attackers.
