AS Saint-Etienne : Claude Puel offers swimsuits for the victims of the Roya and Vésubie valleys | ASSE News

Radio France mobilizes the champions of French sport for an exceptional auction. At the beginning of October, the storm Alex and its terrible bad weather ravaged part of the Alpes-Maritimes, leaving behind the valleys of Roya and Vésubie completely devastated. To come to the aid of the inhabitants of the region who have suffered immense material damage and to contribute to the reconstruction effort, Radio France is organizing an exceptional auction of objects belonging to French sports champions.

The sale is being conducted by Ader Entreprises & Patrimoine and is being held in a 100% online format on the Drouot site from Monday November 30th until December 14th. All of the profits will be donated to Secours Populaire, which has been leading actions to support disaster victims since day one.

Claude Puel responds to the call of the South

Having many ties with the south of France (his entire playing career in Monaco and four seasons spent on the bench in Nice), Claude Puel, responded to this call launched by Radio France. The general manager of AS Saint-Étienne offered three jerseys from his personal collection. One of his Monegasque time (season 93/94) signed by the whole team and in particular by Arsène Wenger and Emmanuel Petit. A Yann M’Vila flocked AS Saint-Étienne jersey and signed by the former Greens midfielder. Very nice piece too, this Leicester jersey that the Castres trained for 18 months between 2017 and 2019. A jersey that belonged to the star striker of the Foxees, Jamie Vardy and also signed by the player.

It was normal to participate in this operation. People have been so affected. If we can help disaster victims, it is with great pleasure and duty. I spent 24 years in Monaco. I have my house there. It is the family home and the gathering place for celebrations and times when we can get together. It is at home so when the region is affected I am necessarily sensitive.“- Claude Puel
