It’s no secret that theAS Saint-Etienne which is one of the worst attacks of League 1, would consider recruiting an offensive element during the winter transfer window, even if the coach of theASSE, Claude Puel, has more than once said it is not a priority.
For this, the Greens seem to have focused on the Egyptian striker of Zamalek, Mostafa Mohamed, but would also study another track in parallel. According to Ghana Soccernet, theASSE would be interested in Kamal sowah. Indeed, St Etienne would consider making an offer of 2 million euros to Leicester for the 20-year-old Ghanaian attacking midfielder, currently on loan to Belgian clubOH Leuven. Author of 6 goals and 4 assists this season in the Jupiler Pro League, Kamal sowah is in the process of revealing itself to the general public. Hence the interest ofASSE.
However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. Normally, a club likeAS Saint-Etienne could have perfectly anticipated for next season by recruiting a player with a very interesting potential. However, the situation is currently different. In the tough financially and playing the maintenance this season, the Greens must favor a recruitment to positions that are lacking, or sell accordingly. The problem is that Kamal sowah does not have a goalscorer profile sought by theASSE. It is more in a style to Aouchiche, Boudebouz and even Khazri in a role of second attacker.
Without a sale, there is therefore little or no chance of seeing Kamal sowah disembark atAS Saint-Etienne during the winter transfer window.
