“Javier Pastore had come to test at the club, but …”
“ I was director of recruiting. At first, it was going fairly well. Bernard Caïazzo had just taken over the club and we weren’t very well seen. We had a very good first year. Then there was a season where Ivan Hasek was the coach. It was good and I had at that moment the idea of being able to establish a real philosophy by bringing in South American or African players. Moreover, it was at this time that Javier Pastore came to test at the club. I wanted to give the club a dynamic and a style of play. I didn’t really manage to do it, because you had to convince a lot of people in the management. And in the end, it ended badly. I got fired. We didn’t have the same vision of things ” said Omar da Fonseca in an interview with 90min.
