AS Saint-Etienne : blood drives Tuesday and Wednesday in Geoffroy-Guichard | ASSE News

On December 6, 2011, the French Blood Establishment Auvergne-Loire organized for the first time a blood drive in a legendary location: the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium. Nine years later, L’AS Saint-Étienne, ASSE Cœur-Vert and EFS continue to join forces to promote and organize an XXL blood donation in the Cauldron every year.

For 2020, these two collection days take place on Tuesday 1er and Wednesday 2 December, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the stadium lounges.

The challenge is to ensure the needs of blood products for patients as the end of the year holidays approach. December is indeed a time of the year when blood needs are particularly high and reserves weakened. In addition, in an unprecedented health context, the regular mobilization of donors is essential.

All precautionary measures have been implemented to ensure a secure collection and to welcome donation candidates in the best possible conditions: wearing a mask is compulsory and applying the rules of distancing and reinforced hygiene.

For travel authorization, tick the box referring to assistance to vulnerable people. Bring an identity document. To facilitate reception and limit waiting, go to the EFS platform: MON-RDV-DON-DE-SANG. efs.sante.fr is to be preferred.
