First time Montpellier didn’t concede a goal
And the worst thing this Sunday afternoon was that ASSE never seemed to shake this Montpellier team. This is particularly evident in this mind-blowing statistic: out of the 8 green shots, none was on target, despite a higher number of attacks (48 against 42).
On the contrary, Montpellier – in place, but not monstrous – benefited from a recovery error from Kolo, to punish the Greens from the start (0-1, 13 ′). The Greens found themselves petrified, and gave the impression of discovering each other on certain movements, or even of never making the effort together.

And it is not the reaction after meeting that is reassuring. Yvan Neyou considered “that everything is not to be thrown away”, emphasizing the possession of the ball to the advantage of the Greens (55% -45%).
For his part, the coach of the Greens hope that the different context of the Derby will benefit his players.
The Greens therefore approach the Derby (Sun 8 November at 9 p.m.) with this very negative spiral. So let’s hope that the week will be fruitful, and that the context of the closed session will benefit the Greens. But nothing is less certain…
