AS Saint-Etienne : they are in the eleven-type start in Ligue 1 | ASSE News

Zapping Goal! Football club OM: top 10 most capped players in history

Edouard Mendy (ex-Stade Rennais, Chelsea): if the Red and Black had not planned to separate from their titular goalkeeper when discovering the Champions League, the Senegalese goalkeeper saw an offer that was not refused by the Blues. In the deal, Rennes still recovered € 24m, breaking the transfer record for a Ligue 1 goalkeeper.

Thiago Silva (ex-PSG, Chelsea): not extended by Leonardo despite his insistent requests to continue in Paris, “O Monstro” turned the page this summer. He too in the direction of London.

Wesley Fofana (ex-ASSE, Leicester): if Claude Puel did not want to hear about a departure of his 19-year-old defender, the € 40 million (bonus included) offered by Leicester City got the better of the Castres. A decision had to be taken for the economic sustainability of the Greens.

Gabriel (ex-LOSC, Arsenal): very much courted, the Brazilian colossus of the Mastiffs made use of his exit voucher to join the Gunners against a check for 26 M €. A matured choice of the former Avai player who also had offers from Everton and Naples.

Thomas Meunier (ex-PSG, Borussia Dortmund): annoyed to wait for a sign from PSG leaders for an extension, the Belgian took the lead early in the year by choosing Borussia Dortmund. A signing scheduled before the Covid-19 crisis which caused him to miss the “final 8” of the Champions League.

Yann M’Vila (ex-ASSE, Olympiakos): in the “economic diet” project set up in Saint-Etienne, the former French international no longer had a place because of his big salary. Two years from the end of his contract, he was released to join Olympiakos Piraeus.

Wylan Cyprien (ex-OGC Nice, Parma): refusing to extend a contract which was due to expire in 2021, the former Lensois was told to leave at the beginning of the summer by the Gym. Set aside until he found a club, Cyprien finally joined Parma on the last day of the market, on loan with a purchase obligation set at € 4.5m.

Fernando Marçal (ex-OL, Wolves): indisputable holder in the defense of five Lyon at the very end of his adventure, the Brazilian took advantage of his good “final 8” from C1 to sign with Wolves against € 2 million. Thank you Jorge Mendes …

Raphinha (ex-Stade Rennais, Leeds): a year after his arrival from Sporting, the Brazilian winger left Ille-et-Vilaine to discover the Premier League with Bielsa from Leeds. For Rennes, this is an almost white operation since the British club paid € 17m to recruit him, agreeing to include € 6m of achievable bonuses.

Edinson Cavani (ex-PSG, Manchester United): like Silva and Meunier, the “Matador” was part of the cycle Leonardo wanted to end. The top scorer in the history of PSG therefore packed up, refusing even to sign the amendment that would have allowed him to play the two Cup finals and the final rounds of the Champions League. After long months of unemployment, he joined the Red Devils on the last day of the Mercato.

Victor Osimhen (ex-LOSC, Naples): by selling the Nigerian striker to Naples for € 70m (excluding bonus), Lille quite simply carried out the biggest operation of L1 in the direction of the departures and the third biggest sale of the summer all European clubs combined (behind Arthur and Havertz).
