Started at the beginning of the summer, the (long) soap opera Wesley Fofana (19 years old) is about to end. The leaders of AS Saint-Etienne have indeed accepted Leicester’s fourth and final offer.
Starting on the basis of € 25 million, the undefeated leader’s bid for the English Championship ended at € 40 million in transfer fees, including € 5 million in bonus. After selling William Saliba, his other 19-year-old central defender, to Arsenal (ANG) last summer for € 25m (plus € 5m in bonus), the Greens are therefore preparing to set a new record in terms of sale for his central defender, who was under contract until June 30, 2024. Some details remain to be settled between all parties before reaching a final agreement.
