ASSE co-president Bernard Caïazzo confirmed that the sale of the club was still a hot topic but that he would not sell at any price:
“If you don’t have a knife in your throat, you shouldn’t accept at all costs. What is most lacking in the discussions: what investments next? They tell the buyer that with 50 million euros they will win the Champions League and the seller that the new owners will invest 500 million euros. Once both parties agree, buyers will often go looking for capital that they don’t actually have at the time of signing. “
