The Stade Geoffroy Guichard is located in the northeast of the city of Saint-Étienne, in the Carnot le Marais district. The Greens’ enclosure is located at 14 rue Paul et Pierre Guichard, 42028 Saint-Étienne.

To get there from the A72 motorway, take exit 12 towards Saint-Étienne center; while taking the A47, it is preferable to opt for exit 13 towards Montreynaud Technopole.

Well served by public transport, several options are available to the public to go to the Geoffroy Guichard Stadium:

  • by tram, with lines 1 and 2 getting off at the Geoffroy Guichard stop
  • by bus, with lines 8, 9 and S9 getting off at Le Marais station.

A mythical stadium like Geoffroy Guichard is obviously open to visitors. Guided tours run until March 2021 only on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 3:30 p.m., except January 1, May 1 and December 25. They last about an hour. Prices are between free for children under 4 and the press and € 15 for people over 18.

Buying a ticket for the stadium tour also allows you to visit the Musée des Verts, which is also located in the Saint-Etienne enclosure. Without seeing the stadium, the visit costs only € 7.

The Stade Geoffroy Guichard hosted matches of the XV of France on its lawn, and will be involved in the next Rugby World Cup in 2023 which will take place in France. That’s not all, since the Greens will also be mobilized for the football competition of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
